UNIDO PHAROS Training Workshop
"Management of Change in industrial enterprises and improving evidence in policy making with UNIDO Pharos enterprise benchmarking ICT tools"
Objectives
The principal objectives of the training workshop are introducing UNIDO Pharos ICT tools and related methodology for implementation of industrial modernization and innovation programmes for sustainable development of small and medium enterprises. It includes analysis of relevant best practices including consideration of uncertainties of the global business environment, markets and financial crisis.
In particular the participants will learn about the following:
Introduction to policy making support based on real-time evidence using multiple enterprise benchmarking data, its statistical processing and simulation of policies
Applications of evidence policy making environment for analysis, formulation of options and implementation of policies in industrial development
Introduction to strategic planning in SME environment
Introduction to UNIDO Pharos software package for managing, measuring and benchmarking of business and manufacturing performance
How entrepreneurs and consultants can use Pharos software package for improving business results, management of change, innovations and investments making business more effective and predictable
Supporting analysis and monitoring of major business decisions
Using UNIDO Pharos package for introducing best continuous improvement practices in industrial modernization programmes, the experiences and case studies in countries
The optional applications of the Pharos software package include as follows:
Developing evidence platforms for regional and national industrial development programmes
Traceability of policies, strategic decisions and legislation impacts
Selection of enterprises for investment and modernization programmes
Analyzing the results of implemented programmes, policies and investments,
Supporting selection of suppliers to large industrial corporations
Monitoring of suppliers performance, operational quality and its improvement by large national and multinational corporations willing to improve their business stability in times of uncertainties of global markets and financial crisis
Quick and inexpensive audit of enterprise groups (clusters, industrial sectors, etc)
Support of comparative studies based on benchmarking results.
Entrepreneurs, managers and enterprise specialists in strategic, finance and production issues, business consultants, specialists in public and private organizations dealing with industrial productivity, quality, competitiveness, entrepreneurship and innovation in industrial sectors as well as enterprise certification and financial risk assessment, vocational trainers.
The approach will be both mostly practical with methodological overview. The basic knowledge of PC/ Windows is required.

Fees
990.00 Euro per one participant including tuition and complete UNIDO Business Performance Management Software Suite.
All other related expenses (e.g.: travel, hotel accommodation, meals, etc.) will have to be settled directly by the participant.

Credit card payment to UNIDO is the quickest option ensuring the fee receipt next working day.
In case of any problem related to the prompt receipt of visa, the payment is reimbursed after the workshop or itcan be kept at UNIDO to ensure participation in the next workshop, The decision depends on the wish of the participant.
